Coventry - 5th Nov - orange light

Hi all,

Sorry I haven't been around for a bit - not been too well. Still going through scans & test, etc. Think my astronomy days are most definately on a back burner for a good while.

Anyhow - was outside last night (just in the back garden), with some fireworks.

A very bright orange light kept hovering around south of Coventry (5 min or so), then zoomed off very quickly into the clouds.

Seemed far too fast for a heli & no noise either - anyone else see this ???

Aliens also celebrating Guy Fawkes night !! lol

Have you thought about getting some binoculars or little spotting scope to put you on until you 100% again?

Yes - I do have a ST80.

It's more the mount side - sold my EQ5, to get at EQ6 !! Then a couple of weeks later, started with my appointments / troubles.

A pair of bins could be a nice idea though - thanks much - will have a look into that (maybe get next weeks biggie appointment out of the way first though).
