My first go at Andromida 1/11/11

Had my first proper go at Andromida the other night.

I am well pleased to get some detail

Think I could bring out some more if I knew what i was doing

But I feel im getting there slowly...... if it were easy it wouldnt be fun

Altair Astro 8" imaging newt

EQ5 goto mount

Nikon D200

25 x 40 sec subs

PLENTY OF LIGHT POLUTION

What equipment did you use and how many subs of what length? Always interesting to know so folks can compare results.

Moon monkey, with such short total exposure time you should be very pleased indeed! The focus looks to be on the mark, no star trailing so just throw more and more into this and it will be a joy to edit! You may want to center the core for the next go as with this framing the outer regions will go past the right edge fo this particular image!

Thanks for the advice .. I cant wait to get out there again. It was a bit of an experiment and i thought I would need more and longer subs ...
