Barlow confusion?

Recommended Posts

I have seen a couple of ads where people are selling a used Celestron Barlow with the part # 93510. It is claimed to be an apocromatic Barlow. Both ads hava a photo clearly showing the Celestron brand, and the part #.

Now, Celestron's catalog lists this part as a single axis drive motor. The only apochromatic Barlow I see is # 93506, the Ultima Barlow. Mine is the achromatic # 93507.

Does anyone know why this is? What do I have, if I have a Celestron 93510 Barlow?

Don't know the 93510.

I have two Celestron X2 Barlows:

1. Model 93507, which is the 'budget' model made in Taiwan: Achromat.

2. Model 93506., which is the more expensive Ultima model, made in Japan: Apochromat.
