Following that intro, how ridiculous is it for me to ask are there any kits available so that my 150 mm Newt can be used as a Dob?

Thought of getting a SkyWatcher Heritage 130 but if a kit is available, might be cheaper and certainly uglier.

You could make a Dob and simply use the optics from your scope in a new tube and mount. Something like: Plans for a Dobsonian telescope may get you started.

Have printed it off for study and trying to find a way to suspend the present tube between the altitude bearings.

You could get one of these, but for the money you could just buy a 150 skyliner and be done with it....

Thanks AlphaRob, wont have to worry about wet or dry rot with those but as you remark, the price, pronounced "OUCH!"
