Depends on which way the wind's blowing. Generally speaking pressure systems move W-E across the UK, the wind direction depends on what type of pressure system it is and it's location. Clouds also move in different directions at different levels, it's massively complex really hence why the forecast is wrong most of the time!

That makes sense. I was looking at a satellite image and it looks like there is a big cloud moving west to east. Looking out my backgarden it looks like the sky is clearing. I am trying to reassure myself that in another hour my sky should be clear as all forecasts say cloudy all night. I guess I'll just have to go with my gut and also hope luck is on my side.
