The Sun 24 October 2011 white light

I had a bit of inspiration today ( ) and set up my more or less redundant EQ5 in a part of the garden where I could see the Sun easily (Why didn't I think of that a couple of weeks ago !!)

Anyway here are todays "Suns" - I have included Barlowed .avi close-ups although seeing was poor with quite a bit of high cloud. And I must admit I "guessed" the alignment of the EQ5 so had quite a bit of drift over the 2min .avi's (but a few nudges on the RA motor helped!!).

Great shots! That AR1324 has surely been interesting to watch over the past week as it fragments and flares. I need a scope that can provide this type of resolution in a full disk one shot.
