Well having now replaced my EQ3-2 with an HEQ5 Pro I just couldn't resist having a quick session. Sadly my polar alignment must be off as I can't get more than about 40s subs (3-2 gave 90+ consistently) but never mind. Time to play later.

Albireo with companion. I don't think the sky was as clear as it looked with some faint high cloud.

90x20s subs, with darks and bias. SW150p and EOS 30D

Really nice. Jamie. Albireo is a very photogenic double, but not too easy to capture, but this is well done.

Make a nice Xmas Card too.

Just had a re-stack and threw out some dodgy subs. Think its a little better now?

Although you have great star color in the dimmer stars, I suspect that your star color is a bit washed out in the primary target(s). However, I can see the color of the stars in the spikes, which I like.

Have you tried taking both long and short subs and stacking the results in order to preserve the color in the brighest stars ?

Nice picture, in spite of my comments sounding otherwise. Keep at it, as Barkis says, it would make a nice Christmas card !
