Yup.

Without an adapter for the Tal diagonal, you'd need to add 10mm to the sizes.

The Tal is actually a good wee diagonal and holds up well with may others.

Will do. Dad still has the baseplate as he will chop down the SCT thread once I get the focuser.

Danny told me that the load capacity of the crawmach is 3 pounds (1.36kg). Hopefully this will be sufficient. My canon 400D is ~0.5kg. Add an extension tube and perhaps the tal focal reducer (unsure of weight).
