Jamie
Hi AlAll of the ETX scopes are a combination of small refractors and small Maksutov type scopes. The ETX's start at 70mm and go up to 125mm in aperture. (they are also all fork mounted/AltAz)The LX series of scopes are a range of Newtonian/Schmidt Newtonian/Schmidt Cassegrain and refractors. The LX's are a mixture of fork mounted scopes and equatorial mounted scopes of larger aperture. They do 2 refractors in the LX series 5" & 6"The Newtonian & Schmidt Newtonian start at 6" aperture and get bigger (much bigger)The Schmidt Cassegrain type scopes start at 8" aperture and go up to about 16".Hope that helps mate..
