Jupiter with an SPC900

Recommended Posts

I had a good night last night. A first for me - all observing was done on a laptop with an SPC 900 in the focusser.

After a few experiments looking at Uranus and Neptune, I focused on Jupiter. I am not really sure what I am doing with Registax so any tips welcome but I'm pretty happy for a cheap as chips webcam :D

Thanks for the link Keith.

The scope is a secondhand Skywatcher 200p with the standard 2x Barlow that came with it all mounted on a HEQ5 Synscan goto mount.

It's taken me a fair few goes at setting it up to get it polar aligned and the tracking right but I think I'm getting there :)
