Looking for decent budget binoculars.

The Praktica 10X50Ps turned up and I still can't believe you can get this much bino for under £20. I'm not kidding myself - I used to work in a camera shop in my 'yoof' and we sold Zeiss (West) and Leitz binos, so I'm well aware of the Praktica's limitations

The field of view is a bit limited, colour balance is a bit pale yellow, contrast is average in bright sunlight and the CA at the blue end of the spectrum is somewhat noticeable at the edge of field. But, they're surprisingly easy to look through, are nice and sharp over the central 60% or so of the field and the brief fling I've just had in the garden, shows the contrast to be less of an issue at night.

At £20, you can't knock 'em.
