Tommy B
After taking my first M31 a couple weeks back I thought I'd try and see what I could do about the noise and get to grips with some new processing techniques as Im still quite in the dark when it comes to this stage. The result is a softer but cleaner image that I really like. Originally the galaxy was horizontal so I could fit it in the field of view but I rotated it this time and cloned some stars to fill the corners. The large scale original did end up a tad too blurred as well but reducing the size has helped hide that a bit.Original post " http://stargazerslounge.com/imaging-deep-sky/156403-first-andromeda.html#post1954016 "Thanks for looking
MartinB
You've got some great extended detail in the dust lanes. Far far better than my first M31. Maybe just tone the colour down a little since the level of saturation is throwing up a few artefacts
