silly question on scope sighting

Please excuse this if it is a silly question, but when you put the scope on the heq5 mount, should the securing screws be on the left, the right, or does it make no difference. Just something I thought about. I have mine on the left hand side but i asked just to be sure.

It doesn't matter.

I have mine on top. Turn the dovetail bit until the slot is horizontal, then tip the scope into it whilst holding it like you would a fainted tart.
