Keeping dust away from my DSLR sensor

Started using my D40 DSLR at prime focus for some astro photography work.

Was a bit concerned about getting dust on the sensor when the camera was

without it's lens and fitted in the scope.

Probably a common way of trying to avoid this but might not have occurred

to some.

I use a 2" to 1.25" converter with a "T" thread on top.

This takes my Nikon "T" ring to attach the camera. The hole through

the adaptor where the light (and dust) gets through is fitted with a spare

eyepiece barrel with my Baader moon and skyglow filter screwed in the front

effectively keeping the camera dust free whilst outside.

Picture below shows the setup but normally the filter and barrel is pushed full inside the adaptor. :D
