Bright moving object on SOHO?

A friend at work showed me the latest SOHO image that has a really bright object that has moved from right to left on the image.

I told him I thought it was a planet but wasnt 100% sure.

Anyone else know?

The pictures are broken but I had a look and if it's pics from stereo A it's Mercury.

It's Venus. Due to SOHO being in the L1 Lagrange point, it has a slightly different viewpoint to the sun than us on the ground. It's about the right brightness, it moves in hte right direction at about the right speed for Venus near superior conjunction.
