Pleiades FOV

Can anyone tell me how many degrees the Pleiades cover in the sky. I am looking for an ep that has enough tfov to take it all in one go.

Thanks Spaceboy. I bought a pair of 10X50 bins recently from Lidl. Haven't had a chance to try them out yet but probably won't be much addition at £18.

A 50mm EP with your 200P will give you a field of 2.3 degrees at 24x magnification.

It is highly unlikely you would be able to fit the whole of M45 into the FOV of an EP in the 200P. Due to the huge exit pupil using a 50mm EP it would be pointless as most of the light would be wasted. As mentioned before, binoculars would be your best option.

With the Pleiades as bright as they are, you can afford to waste some light.

But would it be worth wasting the money on an EP you would only really want to be using on one object ? Just MO but I'd rather put the money towards a set of bins.

Well, I certainly haven't spent money on a 50mm e/p so I see your point.

Agree, I much prefer viewing M45 through my bins than my scope - although looking forward to taking a crack at imaging it this Winter.
