A 50mm EP with your 200P will give you a field of 2.3 degrees at 24x magnification.

It is highly unlikely you would be able to fit the whole of M45 into the FOV of an EP in the 200P. Due to the huge exit pupil using a 50mm EP it would be pointless as most of the light would be wasted. As mentioned before, binoculars would be your best option.
