Jupiter 2nd September

My first 'accidental' Jupiter images this year.

I was initially imaging DSO stuff (wanted the SN in M101) but after a distastrous evening where nothing was going right, I messed up the polar alignment, then the balancing was completely out, then the sync'ing, then the guiding......... 4 hours later I gave up with the DSO's. Released the clutches, pointed the scope manually to Jupiter and hit the sidereal tracking button on EQMOD.

I've used the ED80 Pro to capture, along with a TV 3x Barlow and the trusty SPC 900. Been through the usual basic tweaks on Registax 6 and a bit of levels in Photoshop 7.

Thought I would share them. I'll try the Mak next time for a comparison.
