Getting the best from Skywatcher 130p GOTO?

Hey everyone,

I've owed my Sky watcher 130p Synscan AZ GOTO for a few months now and have had some fantastic observations (double stars, jupiter and some brighter deep sky stuff). Living in quite a urban environment light pollution is a real pain but im hoping to get of the city soon to get those quite faint smudges looking much brighter

I know it may be a very open ended question but how could i maximize my scope? Is the answer eyepieces? Other attachments?...

Any help would be awesome

the Skywatcher light pollution filters are quite mild and help with some light pollution, particularly the orange sodium lamps. On a small scope you can't use strong filters so much.

Also, reducing magnification will produce a brighter image, but a larger field of view.
