Beginners Meeting - Cheltenham

On Saturday 1st October the Cotswold Astronomical Society will be hosting a BAA 'back to basics' beginners workshop, at Shurdington Social Centre, Shurdington, Cheltenham.

The full day of talks and workshops will cover diverse subjects such as choosing the right telescope and which books to buy, through to observing the Moon & Sun, the amazing planets Jupiter and Saturn, and starting out in taking astronomical pictures (with SGL's RikMcRae). There will be experts on hand to answer all your questions, and a range of retailers present so you can see telescopes and equipment at first-hand.

Tickets cost £10.00 per person. Members of the Cotswold Astronomical Society or the BAA can purchase them for £8.00.

Lunch and refreshments throughout the day are included in the price.

Due to the popularity of these events, pre-booking is recommended.
