help to id stars

hello everyone

i need some help to i.d polaris this is my poor atempt at drawing the stars i could see with the naked eye on monday night have looked at the star charts and just cant see it must be going blind ..

my garden is faceing north as the drawing is marked this is correct with my compass if any one can help me i would be realy gratfull

but the big dipper in the star chart is on opposite side ? thankyou for the charts have printed it off

The whole Sky effectively rotates around "polaris" (OK the NCP)...

Have a play with time shifitng in Stellarium center on polaris and advance the time to say 12 midnight so the sky will be pretty dark all year around then shift back and fore through the year using +/- for 1 day...
