New Forest observing - 6th August 2011

South Coast Astro will be holding another dark sky observing night tomorrow (6th August) at our regular dark sky site in the New Forest. We are aiming to start around 8pm (perhaps a tad earlier) and observe through until whenever everyone is ready to leave.

Forecast at the moment is very good (touch wood, cross fingers, holding that rabbits foot) and there will be loads to see through the night. Moon will be first quarter but setting by 11pm. There is Comet Gerradd, Jupiter rising after midnight, hopefully some early Perseids plus the usual deepsky delights once the moon has set.

As always, all are welcome to join us, you don't need to be a SCAG member. Just PM me or Shaunster for location details.
