New kit update

Well it's been a week now since I got my new setup, and I must say I'm really pleased.

The CGEM mount is very steady (and heavy ) and really quiet, very useful when you are in the back garden late at night! The tracking is spot on, and I'm slowly getting through the handset settings.

The only thing that I'm a bit surprised about is the length of the handset cable. It's just not long enough!! I think i'm going to have to do an internet search to see if I can get any longer leads.

My other minor thing that I'm working on is balancing the scope. Once I've attached my Skywatcher ST80 guidescope, it does make the back end very heavy. looks like I'd better drill a few more holes in the dovetail bar a move it higher up the body.

Looking forward to staying up late this weekend (weather permitting), and hopefully getting some views and images of Jupiter.
