Guidance Please

Hi folks,

first off a very big thank-you to Petrol for letting me play with his beautiful images.

The pictures attached are the results I got.

I have a couple of questions:-

1) Is the Pelican too red and are there too many stars in the background?

2) I'm not sure how to get rid of the bright patch around the dumbell?

3) What can be done to bring the best out of both images?

I used Nebulosity2 to process these.

I think your first concern should be the huge number of ghastly black halos around the stars. Yes the Pelican is too much of a saturated red and there probably are not enough stars but you have a big hot spot in M27 and the opposite in the Pelican.

Some very basic processing errors that mean you should start again. The data seems good so it is worth re-visiting what you did to find out where the errors crept in.
