Just received my Canon 450d

Hello everybody, just received my refurbished Canon 450d from Canon Outlet, the unit is actually brand new sealed in its box. Bought it for a very good price, under £300, with a full Canon 12 month warranty. Well chuffed, the big question is now. Do I go for a filter removal or filter replacement? It will be used only for astro imaging, I've got a Oly E510 for every day imaging. I waiting to see the reviews of the new IKHARUS 102mm F7 ED APO Refractor, which I'll then be buying for imaging. What software would other forum members recommend for capturing the images? Any thoughts or comments appreciated.

Id say before you go getting the filter removed or replaced, have a play see how you get on with it, then Once everything is working as it should then consider the mod.
