Comet Garradd re-worked

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I captured a few frames of Comet Garradd last night, despite my optical problems (see here: http://stargazerslounge.com/imaging-widefield-special-events-comets/149839-quick-dirty-comet-garradd-c-2009-p1.html ). Here's 23 x 1 minute frames, stacked in DeepSkyStacker on the Comet.

If anyone has any ideas what's wrong with the stars shown on my earlier posting, I'd be grateful for some advice!

And here's a slightly wobbly animation of its movement over 23 minutes.

and, by the way, I think I've finally managed to collimate the secondary properly to get rid of the 'eggy' stars. Just need a clear night to see if I'm right.
