Has anyone ever used a Pentax K-x camera for astrophotography?

I want to upgrade from my K-m which has no live view but not change the make due to having many Pentax accessories!

Were you using the K-m model for AP ?. If so, then you will have the necessary components to enable you to attach the new one to a telescope. If you are using a scope that is .

Live View is very useful , but not essential in AP, other than framing an object.

If you are attached to a telescope, focus is easily nailed using a Bahtinov focusing mask for example.

I see no reason why the K-x model shouldn't be fine, but I am not familiar with the Pentax cameras, so perhaps someone who is will be of more help to you

Have just upgraded K-m to a K-x, just need some clear skies to use it now!!
