Even though the webcam bundles arent currently available from Morgans you can still by all the bits sepperatly. It just works out a couple of quid more expensive. The only thing that is currently out of stock is the ir/uv filter which I susspect is why they cant sell the bundles. I spoke to Morgans yesterday and they will be getting more in

Buy Cheap Astronomy at Morgan Computers

im planning on picking one up at the end of the month

Yes, I think im going to have to do the same.

I'll also mail the guy who modded the logitech and see if he wants to do mine for me.

I'd end up breaking everything if i tried..

The logitech was very clear, so it would be preferable..

but it requires an insane amount of modding.

Funnily enough I just had an email from Morgans telling me that they are shortly getting a small batch of filters in and the webcam bundles will be available to purchase again for as long as the filters remain in stock

Nice,

I may have to take the plunge..

I've 'modded' my logitech...

actually ive jus tmanaged to taake the lense off... I didnt follow all the other steps for building a special case for it ect..

But it may do the trick in its original case.

I'll have to find out later if its not to cloudy..

I See,

Would I need one all the time? Or just occasionally to reduce excessive glare?

Heres my handywork (well, we all like a laugh! lol):

Would you recommend I placed the IR filter inside my contraption, just above the lens, or would be ok to put on the plastic bottle top on the outside?

thanks

well, it wont screw into my bottletop lol..

I'll have to mod the filter also i guess.

I'm thinking I can put the filter inside th eunit.

If I did this, Would it matter that its much closer to the webcam lense?

Thanks

Will do..

I'm just waiting for a planet to test it on..

Jupiter if the clouds stay away.

I may try first without a IR filter, to save money.

Tho I'm not sure my results will be very good, going by what you said, Cornelius.
