Intergalactic tramp/wanderer

I took a look at NGC2419 last night since conditions were good, even from my suburban back garden.

Listed distances for this globular are around 300,000 light years so I was surprised that it was a pretty easy find. Not much to be seen though :) Just a small (2') circular glow with a hint of central brightening. Still, it's nice to take a look at something that's tied to the Milky Way at that sort of distance.

Anyone ever resolved any stars in this globular (personally) or know what size scope you'd need to do it?
