EQMOD vs NexRemote

I have recently moved house and I am considering building a small observatory sometime in the next 6 - 12 months. If I do so, I will upgrade my mount at the same time (or even before). I currently use an HEQ5-Pro, and control it with EQMOD.

If I upgrade, it is likely to be an EQ6 or a Celestron CGEM.

I presently use PHD, CdC via EQMOD/ASCOM. If I went for a Celestron option, how does NexRemote compare with EQMOD - basically would I notice any difference in controlling the mount from CdC and PHD?
