ir or not ir?

Im thinking of buying a mono ccd imaging source camera.

one has an ir filter, and one does not. i do solar white light imaging, lunar and planetary imaging with a colour ccd, but want to move to mono. Which would be best, one with ir filter or one without and what difference would it make?
