Finder scopes

Recommended Posts

I'm looking to change my RDF for a normal magnified finder scope. My current finder has two holes in the base that fit over two bolts that I then screw/fasten down with two nuts. I don't want to sound stupid but this is referred to as a Two-hole finder? I'm curious to know as there is a few on Astroboot, but from the picture I can't clarify if they'll fit yet the descriptions states they are two-hole finders, I should be okay right?

Many bases have 2 holes but I guess that there is no standard for either the hole diameter nor the hole separation.

In other words I would half expect that the 2 holes on a Skywatcher could be different to the 2 holes on a William Optics and so on with Taks, Astro-Professional, TMB's, Orion's etc.
