HEQ5 Latitude Bolts

Hello all

Could someone please tell me what the thread size of the HEQ5 latitude bolts are? I know I could buy the £26 replacement ones from astro shops but that just seems a bit steep for a couple of bolts, though they do have the hand turning things on them.

10mm rings a bell but I'll open up the obs and measure them...

I replaced mine with Stainless steel ones shorthened to give you just enough adjustment for anywhere on the UK mainland with a lock nut and washer on there as well...

Here you go I took them out of mine...

Shortened liek this you havent got loads of extra length sticking out.. you could make them shorther again if you didn't want to use a lock nut and washer

NO Worries... I hand set it up on the moutn yet anyway.. I keep using the EQ3 Pro most of the time as the polarscope is better aligned to the mount on the EQ3 Pro and the one in the HEQ-5 is being a right PITB to center.....

Should get round to doing it I suppose ...
