moondog
Been battling with this image to try and pull as much detail out of this 20 sec shot of the Large Megallanic Cloud I took in New Zealand a couple of weeks ago. Canon 350D 18mm lens @ F 3.5 - 800 ISO, on a photo tripod. This is a 5 times zoom of the full frame. I've tried to keep it as smooth and noise free as possible. It looks reasonably close to the one book picture of the LMC that I have. The sticky up bit on the left of the LMC is the Tarantula Nebula. moondog
Thanks RogNot easy with just a wide angle DSLR lens and a photo tripod !. Wish I could have taken the Rev 80ED and the HEQ5 as well. It must make a superb object to image properly with the right equipment - you'd have a field day !MD
