Photo Package

Good morning all.

I am running a Philips 900 webcam and I would like some advice on the best capture software.

I am currently using Handy AVI which is pretty good.

I have tried several others but have yet to settle on one I rearly like.

Any thoughts out there would be appreciated.

Did you try wxAstroCapture yet Graham - It's one of the better ones.

Edit - also SharpCap is used a lot.

Hi there

i have just been reading up on Sharpcap and have downloaded it to test.

I did try the astro capture along with KDX333 or somehing like that but it got too over complex for my photographic knowlage which is limited to say the least.

I did watch the video on utube about Sharpcap and it would seem to be just what I am looking for at this early stage in my attempts of astro photography.

My vote for Sharpcap as well.

Another advantage to Sharpcap is that the author regularly posts on these boards and is quite happy to answer any questions you may have on it - there's a thread running here

I guess the main candidate will be the Sharpcap. Thank you all for that all I have to do now is wait to go home from work and try it out.

Well I have tried Sharpcap and I am well impressed.

I know its not an astro photo but I took this pic of an arial about 1/4 mile from my site. Ran it through registack and if I can get anywhere near this on Saturn I will be a happy man.

Hats off to the author he gets my vote.

Sharpcap is simply brilliant.
