IC63 - best of a bad job

This is data from last October that I abandoned at the time as a no hoper. I didn't frame it well and didn't seem to be getting much signal. I've had another go at it now and managed to get something - not my best but thought I'd share it anyway.

17 x 5 minutes ISO800

8 x 8 minutes ISO800

Throught the 8" Newt

I like it The big star is a feature but I like that about it.

There does seem to be quite a lot of edge distortion, though.

Thanks Sy - yes because I didn't frame it very well, there wasn't much left to crop and until Mr Piggy Bank can deliver, I'm still struggling without a Coma Corrector.

Stick with it, you are winning. It will be back!! Some objects need time... as in tiiiiiiiiiime.

You're right Olly - from about August onwards I'll be in a situation where I can start adding to last year's data on various objects so I'm hoping to improve on some of the ones where I've only got one or two hours. I'm also hoping to waste far less imaging time playing with the guiding now I seem to have found the solution to my problems (thread in the help section)
