Televue 2x Barlow

I have seen lots of 2x barlows that can be used with the lens unscrewed from the tube and attached directly to the filter thread of an eyepiece/ camera to reduce the magnification a little. In fact i used this method sucessfully with a TAL 2x barlow and binoviewers for a while. Does anyone know if the 2x Televue Barlow can be used in this way?

Yes it does unscrew from the bottom I did this to mine to use it as an extension tube
