Filters and Eyepieces

Hello everyone just wondering peoples thoughts on the best ep's and filters to bring out faint nebulas and galaxys, Your thoughts would be great

What sort of budget were you thinking of Frankie ? - there are a huge range of quality and pricing available - it would be good to know to sort of budget we have to play with :D

Well my "starter for 10" might be:

- A 17mm Baader Hyperion which is £94.

- A 30mm Skywatcher Aero ED which is £125.

- A 2" O-III filter - the Skywatcher ones are £72.

Thats £9 under budget :D

I'm sure you will get alternative suggestions as well - there are a number of possible options for £300.

You have a good scope but the real answer to your question is good dark skies, the addition of Quality UHC and O-111 in 2," if your budget will run to it, will help bring out some more detail in difficult subjects, we are advised the North America Nebula is better with an O-111 for example and there are many others :D
