M106 & Friends

A great night last night, dark, clear, no moon! It gave me a chance to gather quite a bit of data across 2 targets, putting my new camera to the test :)

Here is the first target - M106. I have to say, I'm quite pleased! (although I may have blown out the core a bit while processing.) The nice edge-on galaxy is NGC 4217. There are several other fuzzies in the FOV too.

40x2min, unguided, ISO800, no calibration frames.

The core isn't blown out at all and looks great with that edge on galaxy, nice work with the framing. The galaxy looks very nicely processed but you've got some star halos.
