Cheap Space Models

Just a quick heads-up.

We took our two small children to the National Space Centre this week. It was a bit too much for them to take in (one is 3yrs and the other only 3 months). Anyway, I purchased a model of the Lunar Lander for £4.25. Its made by a company called Quay who also do a few other space related things. The model is really well made. A quick google shows that you can get them online for a little less.

I have nothing to to with the company or indeed the National Space Centre - I was just pleased to get a nice model that didn't cost the Earth!

Hi Twotter- thats the one. They are better in the flesh-and made from solid blocks of plastic. Well worth the money. I'm going to order the others soon. I think the others may look a little bland I'm not sure, The lander however is very nice.

I bought one of those from my local Hobbycraft store,

I also got the Apollo Comand Module and an Astronaut figure,

makes a differance from the light plastic models and well worth getting one or two,
