New scope/mount combo

The 8" F4 is heavy. 10kg infact. My guess is you will be pushing it on a HEQ5 once you add camera and guide scope. A EQ6 will be a better choice.

I assumed you primary goal is imaging, since you chose an astrograph. If your goal is visual, a 200p will be a much cheaper option.

There is about 1.5KG between the 200P DS and the 8"/F4 and only about £75 in price.

Long term goal is DSLR photography, but for now I will be using it for visual and webcam work.

The HEQ5 should be able to cope (or so I thought). It is listed as being able to take 18KG - obvioulsy I don't want to get anywhere near that but if I ended up with 12KG so 60%(ish) of the listed maximum would that be considered too much?

Cheers
