  1. There's a 25mm washer that sits above the knurled knob that drives the splitter up against the tripod legs. I know as the damn thing falls off if you try to assemble in the dark!
  2. Dave, just for my sanity, that parfocal ring is passive, yes? I use a small piece of electrical insulation tape to mark the focus position. I guess this achieves the same thing, albeit less pleasing on the eye? I do have trouble getting fine focus (using the front thread after loosening the locking ring). The single FWHM tool in Sharpcap works, but moving the focus invariably moves the FOV, moving the search box from around the chosen star. Guidescope is firmly clamped! However, I do find that for guiding precise focus isn't necessary. Indeed, I've seen recommendations to slightly deliberately defocus. Mike
  3. I use a powered 7-port USB hub. I've read somewhere that these in fact are two hubs, with 4 ports being on a secondary hub. Generally ports 1-3 are straight through, but ports 4-7 are daisy chained off the 4th port on the first hub. I did find issues with my ASI1200MM (guidecam) connected on the higher numbered ports, resolved by moving this to port 2. So I now have ports 1 and 2 for my cameras, with greatest bandwidth needs, using other ports for mount, dew heater control, gamepad and hopefully soon for filter wheel and focuser. YMMV - what I read may have been wrong, but it tied in with what I've experienced. Mike
