  1. I have a feeling live view has an effect on the mirror
  2. I have decided that I'm going to get started by viewing (astrophotography on the back burner) I have seen the following and would like opinions please. Celestron Nexstar 5SLT ( looks like a dark grey body) it comes with what looks like a 12 filter set, 2x eye pieces a Celestron power pack and a starpointer pro findersope as well as the software CDs and instructions. Thanks I'm advance
  3. Ok thanks for the quick replies, I have seen a Celestron Netstar SLT 127 with extras for sale near me and think I may go for viewing whilst looking into astrophotography. I know it's going to be costly enough so don't want to buy anything that's not suited!! And am guessing the number of telescopes you need is always n +1!?
  4. Cheers was hoping for a one fits all!! Making every photon count is ordered so will read that asap. As a newbie to all things skyward would starting out on planets etc be easier and help me gain knowledge and practice I'm guessing it would need less editing after too?
  5. I think I want to jump straight into astrophotography, ideally I'd love to do planets and deep space if that's doable with one setup?! I already have a Nikon d5100 and d5500 to take the images on and my budget ideally under £1k but that's reviewable!! I'm in Redcar, but would like it to be portable so I could go to dark locations when possible. Suggestions gratefully received and thanks in advance
  6. I have now managed to fully confuse myself and the only positives are I've ordered "how to make every photon count" and "turn left at Orion". I am interested in Astro photography as I already enjoy photography, so am looking for a setup that allows observing and imaging possibly one that Is a go-to and track. Not sure if there's a go-to single answer answer here? I already have a Nikon d5100 and a D5500 but only lens that I guess would be ok are a 50mm f1.8, and possibly a Sigma 105mm f2.8 so would need to buy additional lens. So I was thinking of buying a telescope with what i would need to spend on lens! Sorry for the waffle and thanks in advance. Mods moveif I've postedinwrong section ?!
  7. Am hoping to gain knowledge and learn before I buy any equipment! I'm hoping to get into astrophotography . Currently reading and watching videos hoping to understand more. Will be using the search button a lot and will probably ask quite a few questions!!!
