  1. Hey all, Thanks for help so far I am getting set up and just waiting for a clear sky around Essex. My other half got me the Astro Fi 127mm fir Christmas. A good scope but possibly not the one I would have selected as I am into photography and would look at trying this out. So looking further into this I understand I have a Altazimuth mount and for long expose require an equatorial mount. I have Starsense and wondered if a wedge would work with this setup and if so is there one in particular I should be looking for. thanks again
  2. Thanks so much for the informative response we do live near a reservoir that’s perfect to set up and view the night sky without much pollution so that’s good to know about the light pollution filters, I didn’t really think about the wavelengths of the LED lights, not that we have many around this way.
  3. Hey all, So for Christmas I got my first telescope a Celestron AstroFi 127mm. Since Christmas there has been just one clear night suitable for viewing and so far only managed to view the moon although was incredibly clear. I am looking at getting some accessories but just need some help selecting the right items. I am going to get the Celestron Star Sense accessory with battery power pack. I am a little confused as to the size of the filters needed. I want to get a moon filter and light pollution one. What other filters would you suggest? Also I have the two eye piece lenses with the scope but is there any benefit of getting others and what would you suggest. I am waiting for this lockdown to be over so I can join a local astronomy club. Thanks I’m advance and let’s hope for some clear sky’s soon.
  4. I had a similar experience in Finland. Was a clear night so headed out onto a lake. Set up camera on long exposure and took picture of myself and partner. When looking at the image on the PC when home there was a big streak across the sky, I certainly wasn’t there that we could see without the longer exposure. If I can find the picture will attach
