Or maybe exit pupil?

Yes, could be. But I do find it's visibility very variable.

I find 891 to be like that. I've observed it many times with smaller scopes , but there are occasions when the 12sct struggles. I think it's down to transparency mainly.

Very nice, I was out last night and observed the GRS for once. The real pain over the last week has been the wind...

Very nice... 👍

Actually was still as a mill pond down in the South West! We had a haze/light cloud all night but I often find that's accompanied by good seeing for planets
Yes, I think if I had waited the wind would have eased off, the forecast was definitely saying that.

I managed to get out and watch this. The biggest issue was the wind. Big fork mounted sct users will know what I mean... 🙄

Very nice that. Has a 3d effect to me...

Very nice. Everytime I've gone out over the last few weeks the grs has been absent so its nice to see it.

Nice image, as always Neil. Looking forward to Mars this year. Are you sure you aren't a vampire... 🤔😁

Very nice indeed Neil.

We might all be getting that experience this winter.... 😉

That's an excellent image, well done. One of the best posted this season in my opinion.

Nice, I think the IR saturn is definitely my favourite..

That's very nice considering the scope. It definitely points to your processing talents.

I think it will definitely be a consideration. Particularly where it really counts with the industrial or retail areas. Time will tell but the days of cheap energy are over for the foreseeable. How many bars etc will have those outside heaters, I think Olly mentioned them in another thread. Sometimes scarcity forces change in a positive direction.

Thanks Skyhog. No i havent done that. The procedures i do. Can be a bit hap hazard. Change somewhat from image to image. And I use slightly un orthodox software. And perhaps some unorthodox procedures. As such I have never really felt comfortable telling large groups how to do anything. Though I have sometimes helped single astro friends from behind the scenes here and there. Over the years. If anyone wants to know anything specific. Ask away. And I will elaborate more. Most of it is fairly simple. And I certainly do not claim or think it is the best procedures. Not by a long shot. Its just things I have taught myself over the years. By pushing buttons. And using my eyes to see if I liked the effect.
Appreciate the comments.
Keep doing it, that's all I can say....
Unorthodox software... Sounds intriguing.. 😁

Superb image Neil. Have you ever posted your processing flow for these images? I really think you have processing nailed when I look at what you post.
