Stupidly I have updated my synscan V3 handset to the latest firmware as it mentioned it was also for AZ mounts but clear it wasn't meant for my old AZ mount. Now the handset works but it won't connect to my mount any more. I can't find the firmware it was on originally and I believe it was 3.8. My mount it the one pictured. I've looked online for the firmware but with no luck. Hopefully there is a way to roll back to the firmware it was originally on.

Its just for setting up before I get to the alignment part, right before it asks for North, east, South or west sky. I thought it was asking what part of the UK i was In

If I live Inthe West Midlands would I pick the western sky Inthe synscan??

I will give it ago when it clear next. I got the date right it's just the lat and Lon that's killing me off

Hi, first time trying to setup my synscan az go-to mount. I'm ok with everything up to the location part, if I use the location on stellarium Do I use the GPS coordinates or the longans lat I have attached a photo of the coordinates on stellarium. Thank you

So I could in theory use it for short exposures using my DSLR for prime focus? I used to own the skywatcher 150p on the EQ 3-2 mount with the basic motor drives but then I moved to a super light polluted area with no space to use it so I had to sell up so one starting over with an AZ go-to mount I found cheap on eBay. I've seen a lot of success with the AZ mount for short exposures (online) Its definitely a downgrade but needs must at the moment. Also I used to image the planted with a modded webcam and sharpcap but can the same be done with a DSLR for the planets?? Sorry for all the questions.

So, I know that the skywatcher synscan AZ mount is classified as a go-to mount by what I can't seem to find is once it's found the target will the scope then track the item or is this impossible due to it not being a EQ mount??
