Think I did that. Might have turned it on when I was polar aligning with the scope turned so could use polar scope. Cant quite remember. Will try again when get some clear skies. -
So one pic is my current GPS location. The other eqmod. Are these correct? From looking at eqmod window is there anything leaping out that looks wrong?

So had a clear few hours last night to try have a play. All set up. Polar aligned. Fires up the laptop and all programmes. Mount connected to it all. Chooses moon as object to slow to before doing alignments. As thought I'd see how far out it was. The mount set off. Ended facing total opposite direction.

Not tried yet. But next question. Without that hand control. How do you do a star alignments?

What do I choose here? As I'm trying things but mount not moving at min in stellarium. Moving using eqmod no probs.

Cable runs from mount to laptop directly

I cant her the mount to connect. Cant take pics at min either as not with mount. It shows com 3 in port when I go to set up eqmod window. Check on device manager shows port 3 in use when mount plugged in. But the mod thing doesn't seem to pick up the mount itself.

Well I've downloaded all of the above. But cant get my mount to budge or connect.

This fits where the hand controller cable fits to the mount

It fits the larger socket on the bottom of the handset. If by pins you mean the little gold teeth things. There are 8.

The what plug?

It plugs into the mount and also the hand controller where the original lead currently plugs into to connect the handset to the mount.

Well I've downloaded ASCOM and EQmod. Followed a video on youtube to set up. Does the mount budge...... not a thing.

Where do I get ascom from?
