Hi John, what a fabulous post, thank you for posting! I'm the owner (or will be I due course of the same telescope. I think I will definitely go with your legs on the base to hold it away from the damp grass, (plenty of that in the New Forest/Salisbury Plain area). My concern for the future is finding a suitable kit to have my telescope GOTO enabled. Is this something you've thought about?
