  1. Yes - had a weight from previous mount that I use with the one supplied with the mount about half way up the balance rod. Any views on my query regarding off axis guiding?
  2. I have been using a Altair GPCAM2 130M camera with a 60mm guide scope on my CEM40/8" Celestron SCT setup and works ok However when I try to use it on installed Celestron off-axis unit - it is very hit and miss as to whether I can find a guide star in the field of view even if I crank up the gain etc. Is the sensitivity of the camera not up to it? Would you recommend an upgrade in the mono camera or any other changes/settings that I might have missed? Could continue as-is with the guide scope but have other plans for that and also want to get full use from the off-axis unit Cheers Keith
  3. Have sorted the issue by using a 2nd PC next to the telescope and multiple usb connections, connected this via ethernet to network and access it via Teamview from the warm room main PC - all working a treat and now frees up the main PC to do processing etc whilst data collecting on the other 😁 Just got half a dozen long usb cables and hubs collecting dust now 😉
  4. Expect this has been asked before, but what options are best to get reliable links over 3m between scope and warm room? I have a working system (just) using powered usb hub and direct usb3 cables, but is pushing the boundaries as technically links are over 3m. Have tried various "active" usb3 cables but with limited success. However issue might be me not paying enough for the cables which range in price from £10 to over £60! Should I invest and any suggestions, or have you tried usb3 to ethernet converters?
