  1. I like this image, it's stunning but real and natural at the same time!
  2. Here comes an image of M101 shot under ~ Bortle 4 skies over the course of 4 nights. Frames: 840x60s (14h) Equipment: Sky-Watcher Explorer 200PDS Wega Telescopes Wega Primary Mirror Baffle ZWO ASI533MC Pro with ZWO UV IR CUT 1.25" ZWO EAF Sky-Watcher HEQ5 PRO Explore Scientific HR coma corrector 50/200mm guide scope ZWO ASI120MM Mini Software:PHD2,NINA,EQMOD,Siril My Preferred rotation & crop: Full view: Clear skies /Gabriel
  3. Reprocessed Messier 81 with more data. 21.9 hours (1312 x 60s lights) ZWO ASI533MC Pro ZWO UV/IR CUT 1.25" 8" F/5 Sky-Watcher Explorer 200PDS Wega Primary mirror baffle ES HR Coma Corrector Sky-Watcher HEQ5 Pro 50/200mm Guidescope ZWO ASI120MM Mini ZWO EAF Clear skies /Gabriel
  4. M81 is one of my favorite galaxies so i could not resist capturing it a second time this season now when the skies cleared up after almost 1 month with clouds. Captured November 16th,17th and 18th. Total integration time: 16 hours and 42 minutes. The reason i cooled my camera to -30°C is because ambient temp during capture was between -15°C and -20°C. 1002 x 60s lights 60 darks 40 flats 40 flat darks ZWO ASI533MC Pro @ -30°C Gain 105 Offset 70 ZWO UV/IR CUT 1.25" 8" F/5 Sky-Watcher Explorer 200PDS ES HR Coma Corrector Sky-Watcher HEQ5 Pro 50/200mm Guidescope ZWO ASI120MM Mini ZWO EAF Software: EQmod,Nina,PHD2,Siril Clear skies Gabriel
  5. I decided to reprocess this image just for fun, here is the result:
  6. Thanks, appreciate it! I live under rural skies and have seen it through my old 16"and i agree it's a a nice treat visually as well!
  7. Thank you! I appreciate the feedback as well 🙏👍
  8. 9. Messier 82 - The Cigar Galaxy. According to Wikipedia it's central region is about 100 times more luminous than the cental region of the Milky Way (!) Captured last night, 6 hours and 7 minutes total integration time. 10. Last night i managed to get 4 hours and 30 minutes on a field of galaxies i find very interesting and beautiful so i thought i would share! NGC 2276 is the conspicuous spiral galaxy next to the star almost in the middle of the image and next to it is the lenticular galaxy NGC 2300. I found 16 background galaxies and i would guess at least 20 are visable if one looks carefully. 11. Thank you, really appreciate it!
  12. Clouds came and went last night to such a degree i am surprised i even have something. It's only 1 hour and 30 minutes but it's enough for me to be satisfied with the result. I would like to go for much longer integration times but it's so fun to image a new target and get an acceptable result i just can't resist... 90x60s lights 100 darks 40 flats 40 flat darks ZWO ASI533MC Pro @ -20°C Gain 105 Offset 70 ZWO UV/IR CUT 1.25" 8" F/5 Sky-Watcher Explorer 200PDS Wega Primary Mirror Baffle ES HR Coma Corrector Sky-Watcher HEQ5 Pro 50/200mm Guidescope ZWO ASI120MM Mini ZWO EAF Software: EQmod,Nina,PHD2,Siril Clear skies Gabriel
  13. I agree! Thank you, i appreciate it very much!
  14. I got 3 hours and 35 minutes on the Draco Triplet last night. I like the field with all the background galaxies. 215x60s lights 100 darks 40 flats 40 flat darks ZWO ASI533MC Pro @ -20°C Gain 106 Offset 70 ZWO UV/IR CUT 1.25" 8" F/5 Sky-Watcher Explorer 200PDS Wega Primary Mirror Baffle ES HR Coma Corrector Sky-Watcher HEQ5 Pro 50/200mm Guidescope ZWO ASI120MM Mini ZWO EAF Software: EQmod,Nina,PHD2,Siril Clear skies Gabriel
  15. I had problems with my HEQ5 Pro not tracking after imaging a while and in some other situations, i tried everything trying to resolve it untill i followed this clutch cleaning guide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qXF6GT57Xrs after doing that regularly, which only takes 2 minutes it never stops tracking ever, also the DEC and RA don't slip even when applying some force when the scope is parked for example. (I always use the 3 point polar alignment)
  16. After what felt like weeks of clouds, fog and wind i enjoyed a calm, crystal clear afternoon, evening and night and also managed to get 5 hours on the Iris Nebula. 300x60s lights 100 darks 40 flats 40 flat darks ZWO ASI533MC Pro @ -20°C Gain 106 Offset 70 ZWO UV/IR CUT 1.25" 8" f/5 Sky-Watcher Explorer 200PDS ES HR Coma Corrector HEQ5 Pro 50/200mm Guidescope ASI120MM Mini ZWO EAF Software: EQmod,Nina,PHD2,Siril Clear skies Gabriel
  17. Thank you, much appreciated. I am very surprised.. despite increasing the payload this season by just over 1 kg it actually guides slightly better because i cleaned the RA and DEC clutch, it's mostly at 0.5-0.6 total RMS if the seeing is ok. I actually tried taking a 10 minute sub the other day just for fun and i still got round stars. Sky-Watcher sells the 200PDS imaging Newtonian on the HEQ5 Pro so i guess it's supposed to handle it...my local dealer here in Sweden even recommends this setup for AP. The reason most people don't believe this may be because it's more sensitive to wind and atmospheric turbulence than if you would have say a 72mm refractor on the HEQ5. Good seeing for me is 3.5" arc seconds and below. I know 3.5" arc seconds is considered ok/bad by a lot of people around the world since i don't live in an area known for good seeing.
  18. Thank you, really appreciate it! Nice, have fun with the Quattro!

  20. Here comes a shot of the Triangulum Galaxy, only 1 hour and 10 minutes but the sky was dark and transparent last night. 70x60s lights 100 darks 40 flats 40 flat darks ZWO ASI533MC Pro @ -10°C Gain 105 Offset 70 ZWO UV/IR CUT 1.25" 8" F/5 Sky-Watcher Explorer 200PDS ES HR Coma Corrector Sky-Watcher HEQ5 Pro 50/200mm Guidescope ZWO ASI120MM Mini ZWO EAF Software: EQmod,Nina,PHD2,Siril Clear skies Gabriel
