Hi John Great right up and great images.
Im just about ready to press buy at this point, though I have one question for you first, do you have to use any form of dew prevention with this scope?
I currently image with refractors and an SCT all with dew bands around the front element which keep them dry even on the dampest night, but I used to use a newt and on very damp nights the primary would dew over so I'm wondering if you have experienced this with the RC, and if so how you deal with it?
I could put a dew band around the bottom of the tube but I'm not sure how effective that would be as the mirror is not in contact with the tube.

If you use a CLS Clip light pollution filter as I do for imaging with my Canon DSLR,
it has the added benefit of being a very good minus violet filter and virtually illuminates blue colour fringing.

Ok my Skywatcher Flattener arrived today, and I have just done some test shots, blighted by the full Moon.
Here are the results, First is Prime focus from last week, second is with flattener from tonight.
Overall improvement though nowhere as good as COCO'S results,
I know they are different scopes, but both are f6 so should have produced similar improvement.
Also when focused there was 4mm spare inward travel on my focuser, but unfortunately my 2" Baader LPR filter is 8mm thick so can't achieve focus with the filter. I guess that means I will have to either buy a clip filter or trim some thickness off the filter barrel.

Hi Coco i've just ordered one from Steve @ FLO, he said I can return if it doesn't work with my scope, hopefully it will be clear saturday so I can test it.
Thanks

I just noticed you also own a ZS66, any chance you could try the flattener with it before I go and buy one.
Thanks

MISHMICH has the Revalation Flattener which looks Identical to the Skywatcher, but he seems to be getting very bad results with an Onyx Apo.

I am interested in buying one of these to try with my Equinox 66.
Have you noticed any vignetting when using the Flattener, I cant really tell from the image you posted.
Also does the Flattener accept 2" filters?
I am a bit uncertain weather to go for one of these or, a william optics 0.8 flattener II, Baader MPCC.
I have read that the WO flattener III is POO.

Thanks, sounds ok then.
I made the dew shield for my 8" SCT from one of those foam camping mats, and it works perfect and is weightless :-)
